Beach Homes in Manasota Key
Manasota Key is Sarasota County's most southern island located which stretches for 11 miles, of which 8 miles is in Sarasota county. It is accessible by two bridges, the North bridge in Sarasota County on Manasota Beach Rd., closest to Venice, and the Southern bridge, Tom Adams, in Charlotte County.
Manasota Key residents have no high-rise buildings or any traffic lights to deal with. The southern part is closest to restaurants and commercial businesses while in the northern part, there's rich tropical landscaping, turquoise green water, and beaches with a white sugar sand appearance.
This barrier island features four popular beaches; the well-known Englewood Beach with its boardwalk from the southern bridge, just two miles south is the more private Stump Pass Beach. Farther north is Blind Pass Beach (also called "Middle Beach" due to its location in the middle of the island), and north of Blind Pass Beach, is Manasota Beach which offers more peace and is a favorite spot for snorkelers.
A two-lane road runs along the key with properties on both sides, many of them on both the bay and gulf. Pristine beaches include a state park and wildlife sanctuary on the far south end of the key.
Manasota Key, a barrier island , generally contains luxurious million dollar estate homes. While waterfront property on Manasota Key is ample, it is also the priciest type of property on the island. For considerably lower priced homes that still offer excellent views, consider a home not located on the water.
Manasota Key offers the best of both worlds with gulf front homes on one side and bay front homes on the other side.
Home styles range from luxury beach front homes to small cottages and beach condominiums on the southern tip.
